Pre-conference Arrangements
17th May Celebration
The 17th of May is the Norwegian National Day, and delegates can
witness the festive atmosphere in Trondheim where the streets are
packed with people in their national costumes following the various
parades.
Conference Arrangements
Welcome Reception 18th May
The Mayor of Trondheim is hosting our reception at the Archbishop's
Palace. The Archbishop's Palace museum will be opened that evening
solely for the delegates to enjoy.
Reception 19th May
A reception is also planned for the evening of the 19th May,
including entertainment to provide a further taste of Norwegian
culture.
Conference Dinner 21st May
The Conference Dinner is being held at Lian restaurant
on one of the hillsides surrounding Trondheim. Delegates will either
be transported by bus or tram to the restaurant. The restaurant lies
on the edge of the woods with fantastic views across Trondheim.
Conference Pubs
Each evening, pub meeting places will be provided on the program where
delegates can find other delegates after dinner, if they so wish.
Post-conference Arrangements
Delegates will have the opportunity to sign up for trips through
the web page or by contacting a tour representative at our conference
reception desk.
Post-conference Tours
A number of post-conference tours will enable delegates to visit
areas within easy reach of Trondheim as well as areas further afield.
Norway has some fantastic scenery to offer and much of cultural
interest, especially for non-Scandinavians.
A number of possibilities are being investigated and include:
- Bus Tour to Røros - a historical mining village
- Bus tour to the west of Norway - fjord country.
- Boat and bus tour to Lofoten Islands
